a Vortex, a VormVole
P/////AKT, 2022

This performance explores states of disorientation and obscurity, unfolding in and around the building of P/////AKT. Like a white cane used by blind people to scan for obstacles and orientation, a steel rod becomes an extension of the body — a tool for sensing, navigating, and questioning spatial, ocularcentric and gender norms. The performer moves through the environment guided not merely by sight, but by touch, sound, and deviated, queer ways of being in space. Using a steel rod, scaffold pole, and tape to generate sound against periphery surfaces — asphalt road, walls, pillars, marble counters etc. — the act becomes a tactile choreography of resistance and reorientation.
